Greensboro…an educational leader
With more than 47,000 undergraduate and post graduate students studying here, Greensboro is an educational community where opportunities begin, grow and thrive. It is home to seven colleges and universities—Bennett College for Women, Elon University School of Law, Greensboro College, Guilford College, Guilford Technical Community College, North Carolina A&T State University and UNC Greensboro. These institutions employ 6,000 people as faculty and staff educating the people who will build and guide the knowledge-based economy of tomorrow.
Traditional careers in education, business and law begin here, along with those in disciplines of the future like nanoscience, nanoengineering, biotechnology and global logistics.
Greensboro’s institutions of higher learning house a vast reservoir of intellectual capital that is a tremendous resource for our business community. And the eagerness with which academic leaders share this resource plays an important role in helping opportunity thrive here.
