Elon Law prepares students to be successful lawyers who excel in the profession and global citizens who lead in their communities, nation, and world. Students at Elon Law are able to master the fundamentals of law through a rigorous core curriculum, while developing knowledge and skills in the business and ethical dimensions of the profession through the school’s Leadership Program and Preceptor Program, through which accomplished attorneys mentor students from the start of their law school experience. The school’s high-tech facilities in downtown Greensboro include the North Carolina Business Court, making Elon one of the few law school’s in the country to house a working court.
Student life is enriched through a close association with both the faculty, who provide a global perspective and a commitment to innovative teaching, and with the law school’s advisory board, chaired by David Gergen, adviser to four U.S. Presidents, and including two former governors, three former Chief Justices of the N.C. Supreme Court, the Chair of the American Red Cross, and several international leaders in business and law. Students engage the law through three law clinics serving the greater Greensboro community and trial advocacy, moot court, and field-placement programs.
