Guilford College is committed to making a liberal arts education accessible to all motivated students, regardless of means or background. With emphases on academic reputation, social responsibility, principled problem solving, and civic engagement, the college has been educating leaders since 1837. In 2010 the college’s enrollment reached 2800, with a student body composed of approximately 50% traditional undergraduate students and 50% adult (age 23+) students under the continuing education division. The Early College at Guilford comprises 100 talented Guilford County high school juniors and seniors earning concurrent high school and college credits and has been consistently ranked as a top U.S. high school by US News and Newsweek magazines.
