Ed Kitchen currently serves as VP and COO of the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation of Greater Greensboro, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gateway University Research Park, a collaboration between NC A&T and UNCG.
Prior to joining the Bryan Foundation in 2006, Kitchen served the City of Greensboro for 30 years in various positions, including City Manager from 1995 – 2005. He serves on the Board and Executive Committees of the Greensboro Partnership, Piedmont Triad Partnership and Action Greensboro. In 2008 he chaired Greensboro’s United Way Campaign.
Kitchen is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.A in Political Science and a Masters in Public Administration.
